Thank you for your interest in becoming a member of the Yacht Club of Sea Isle City.  The club currently has a waiting list for full membership that has grown to more than 350 applicants, which could mean a potential 9+ year wait for regular “year-round” membership based on our normal attrition and potential expansion.  Included with this packet you will find a Letter from our Commodore, Membership Waiting List Application, Guidelines for Letters of Recommendation, Explanation of Membership Dues & Fees and our 2018 House Rules.  In order to secure a spot on the membership waiting list the enclosed Waiting List Application, $250 deposit and two letters of recommendation from existing members must be submitted.  These sponsoring members must be two separate memberships, a husband and wife on the same membership does not meet this requirement.  Please be aware that for two individuals to apply for membership together they must be married orif unmarried share the same residence.  If two individuals are unmarried and not sharing the same residence they must apply separately.

The club currrently has an overall cap for regular membership of 575.  This membership cap has been put in place to help preserve the quality of the exisiting membership by not overwhelming the club in the summer months.  We did however recognize that the off-season provided us an opportunity to bring in more members.  We now have an Associate “off-season” Membership that is only available to our waiting list applicants and has a cap of 100 associate memberships per off-season.  Further details about the associate membership can be viewed on the Explanation of Membership Dues & Fees included with this packet.   

Once the completed Waiting List Application, $250 deposit and two letters of recommendation have been submitted the Board of Directors will review your application at the next monthly board meeting.  Upon approval you will be notified of your position on the waiting list.  Your position on the waiting list will only change once per year, when we complete our full membership renewal process late Spring.  *It is important for you to notify us of any changes in contact information while you are on our waiting list.
